In the book "Looking For Alaska" by John Green, the main comflict to me so far is Pudge almost drowned. The problem started because he is a new student and apparently being thrown in the water is a ritual they do to new students. They throw them in the water with the ability to easily swim back to their room. But to Pudge they duct taped him in three layers. Later the author states, "Last night--before they woke you up, I guess--they pissed in my shoes"(p.29).
